Quad Camera Setup

A long time ago, smart phones swept the digital camera market. In fact, the phone has now become the only camera for most users. Over the years, the advancement of mobile photography and camera technology has been amazing. Mobile phones with multiple cameras have now become a norm. In fact, mobile phones equipped with quad-camera setups shipped even more in the third quarter of 2020.

According to market research company Omdia (via GSMArena, nearly 60% of smartphones delivered in the third quarter of 2020 have a quad camera setup. Xiaomi ranks first in this market segment, followed closely by Realme.

Other top OEMs are OPPO, Huawei, vivo and Samsung. Among the aforementioned brands, OPPO and Realme are the only companies that do not ship phones with a single camera during this period.

In addition, it is worth noting that Realme has not launched any camera smartphone for a long time.

On the other hand, thanks to its two best-selling products-iPhone XR and iPhone SE 2020, Apple ranks first among single-camera phones.

Interestingly, Xiaomi ranks second, followed by Samsung, Huawei and vivo respectively. Among the best-selling mobile phone iPhone 11 in 2020, Apple also tops the dual-camera smartphone list.

In terms of three-camera phones, vivo ranks first. In the dual-camera smartphone rankings, realme ranks first. Huawei is the only company that will sell five-camera phones last quarter.

In any case, we all know that most of these multi-camera smartphones use fewer low-megapixel macro and depth sensors.

However, ordinary people does not feel the same. Therefore, quad-camera phones are very popular in the third quarter of 2020.
