Huami launched Amazfit GTR 2 and Amafit GTS 2 in its home country China in late September. More than a month later, the two made their debut in the global market at the end of October. Now, the company has revealed that it will launch the first model of the series in India on December 17.
Huami confirmed in a press release that it will bring the entire Amazfit GT 2 series to India. For those who don’t know, the series includes three models, namely Amazfit GTR 2, Amazfit GTS 2 and the recently released Amazfit GTS 2 Mini.
Currently, the company has confirmed that it will launch Amazfit GTR2, the first wearable device of the series, in India on December 17. This is the only model in the series with a round display, and is represented by the name “R”, which stands for “Round”.
Like any other wearable products from Huami, Amazfit GTR 2 is a fitness tracker disguised as a smart watch.
It is the successor to the original Amazfit GTR launched in 2019. Since the company launched its predecessor in India, it is clear that the brand will bring its successor to India.
Having said that, we expect the company to launch a global version with Amazon Alexa and 3GB internal memory for the first time in India, instead of the Chinese version with Xiaomi XiaoAI voice assistant and 4GB internal memory.
