APPLE SUPPLIERS FOXCONN AND PEGATRON EXPANDS PRODUCTION OUTSIDE CHINA.

The well-known Apple suppliers Foxconn and Pegatron are expanding their production capacity outside China by increasing overseas production. This is in line with the plan for business globalization.

Foxconn, headquartered in Taiwan, has established a factory in Vietnam. According to the company’s chairman Liu Yongwei, the overall production capacity of the plant will meet the demand in 2021 and 2022.

However, as it is increasingly difficult to obtain factories in the country, it is not yet certain whether the region’s production capacity can be further expanded.

In addition, Foxconn also plans to establish a production base in India. The region has huge market potential, but the progress still depends on the country’s specific environment, politics and other important factors.

Foxconn is also working to establish a factory in Wisconsin, USA. These production lines will only focus on local needs and will also include AI-based equipment, servers, telecommunications/network equipment, and other software-based products.

Similarly, the DigiTimesreport also pointed out that Pegatron has started building a factory in Indonesia in 2019 and has already started production. The company’s president and CEO Liao Xizhang revealed the information, adding that the company also started production at a factory in Vietnam.

Like Foxconn, Apple supplier Pegatron also plans to establish a factory in India and plans to start production in the region in 2021.
