Around September last year, Taiwanese technology giant Asustek announced the launch of Adolbook 14, which is proud of the world’s first metal gradient notebook. The company also marketed the device as a stylish PC, which is not far from the truth. The electronics giant has just launched the successor to Adolbook14, called ASUS Adolbook13 2021.
Adolbook13 2021 is a compact notebook computer equipped with the latest 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor.
The processor is paired with 16GB LPDDR4X-4266 memory, while onboard 512GB M.2 SSD. The laptop is also equipped with an upgraded Cicada wing fan that supports three-speed fan switching.
In terms of design, ASUS Adolbook13 2021 uses 3D metal printing technology. The company said that this technology is used to create psychedelic ocean colors with gradient metals. The laptop uses an all-metal body with a reinforced mirror logo.
Adolbook13 2021 has a 13.3-inch display with an FHD resolution of 1080p. The display also provides 100% sRGB color gamut, and the screen ratio is as high as 88%.
The entire notebook is as light as 1.19 kg and the thickness is only 13.9 mm. Compared with last year’s Addolbook 14, it is thinner, lighter and has a larger screen ratio
There are many good choices for I/O, even considering the thinness of the device. Adolbook13 2021 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, SD card reader, USB 2.0 port, HDMI video output port, USB 3.1 port and USB-C port. Although the number of ports available is not very impressive, the variety is quite good.
The battery power is 50Wh, which can provide good video playback time. The laptop is certified by TUV Rheinland and also comes with Harman Kardon stereo speakers.
The ASUS Adolbook13 2021 is priced at 4,999 yuan ($766), which is a good price considering the construction materials and other hardware configurations. The model can be purchased from Asustek’s official flagship store on JD.com.
