BLACKVIEW LAUNCHES NEW TAB 8E FOR $135.

Chinese smartphone maker Blackview is known for its rugged smartphones, but the brand also produces tablets. The brand just announced the Blackview Tab 8E, which is a reasonably priced tablet computer with pretty good hardware.

In terms of specifications, Blackview Tab 8E is equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10.

The device is powered by Unisoc SC9863A SoC, which integrates eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores, which are distributed in two clusters. The processor is paired with 3GB RAM. The display is powered by PowerVR IMG GE8322 GPU.

In addition, the tablet has 32GB of internal storage space, which can be expanded using a microSD card.

The device is powered by a 6,580 mAh battery and can be charged using the USB-C port. Blackview claims that the device can last for 8 hours between two charges when playing video, and it has a standby time of 408 hours.

For the interface, the Blackview Tab 8E runs Android 10 out of the box, although Blackview has not confirmed whether the tablet will receive Android 11.

This tablet is a WiFi tablet and does not support LTE. The tablet also comes with a detachable keyboard, which will be purchased separately. The detachable keyboard allows the tablet to be used as a replacement for laptops. It is pre-installed with WPS Office Suite.

For photography, the device has a 13MP rear camera, which should be able to output vivid photos and clear videos.

For selfies, there is a 5MP camera on the front. As for the price, Blackview Tab 8E can be purchased from Blackview’s website and other third-party retailers (such as AliExpress) for a price of US$135.99. A tablet with a keyboard is priced at $165.99. Available in gray or gold.
