US And China

CHINA TOPS US IN AI PATENT FILLINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME.

China and the United States are competing with each other to become the leader of next-generation technology solutions. Now, for the first time, China has surpassed the United States in patent applications related to artificial intelligence (AI).

According to the South China Morning Post, Li Yuxiao, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies, revealed this development at the 7th World Internet Conference (WIC). As a result, China is now consolidating its position as a leader in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to the report, China has applied for more than 110,000 artificial intelligence patents last year, surpassing the number of patents in the United States, but has not disclosed the number of patents in the country.

As mentioned above, both China and the United States are trying to dominate the market for advanced technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

With the rise of China in these areas, the United States has decided to impose several sanctions and trade restrictions on Chinese companies.

However, China is determined to become a global leader in artificial intelligence technology by 2030.

To this end, the country is studying the application scenarios of this technology and has invested heavily in this field. This also raises concerns about ethics and safety issues.

According to a report from research company iiMedia, surveillance was the largest AI end user in China last year, accounting for 53.8% of all AI-driven applications. Followed by finance and marketing, accounting for 15.8% and 11.6% respectively.
