The information comes from Ross Young, the founder and principal analyst of Display Search and DSCC. In a tweet released earlier today, he revealed that the second half of the coming year will be an exciting year for the foldable smartphone market.
He said that Samsung will announce at least three models, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi will announce four models among them, and Google will also announce one model.

We already know that Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in the third quarter of this year due to leaks in the past few weeks, but Ross tweeted that there will be at least three. In the same tweet, he said that there will be no Galaxy Z Fold Lite, but there will be Galaxy Z Flip Lite.
According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold Lite is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2021, but not only will it not be released in the first quarter, it will not even be released at all. We have heard of the lite Galaxy Z Flip last month, so this is not surprising.
Starting from Samsung, the three major Chinese manufacturers OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi will also launch their first foldable smartphones next year.
