As 9to5Google first reported, a new application is being tested in closed beta. The App is called “Task Mate”, a bit like Google Opinion Rewards, but involve more. Basically, “Google Opinions” rewards will passively ask questions based on recently purchased items or using recent Google products (such as Gmail, Google Assistant, and YouTube).
In exchange for answering these questions, you will receive a Google Play credit that can be used for Play Store apps or subscriptions.
Task Mate go further and require users to perform more involved tasks in exchange for the reward balance that can be redeemed. The application currently only accepts invitations in India, and its tasks include taking photos at nearby restaurants, asking survey questions, and verifying the English to Hindi translation.
You will be paid in local currency for the tasks that you complete accurately and you will need an account with a third party payments processor. When you are ready to cash out, simply register your e-wallet or account with our payment partner in our app, then visit your profile page and hit the “cash out” button. You can then withdraw your earnings in your local currency.”
There are “field” and “sitting” tasks, the latter can be completed at home. Users can be rewarded by recording sentences or copying sentences, which may help Google understand the nuances of English-speaking Indians. Currently, the application is in Beta testing stage and is only open to users with invitation codes.
