HMD Global, a Finnish company that manufactures and sells smartphones under the Nokia brand, has now opened its own online store in the United States, allowing the brand to sell its devices directly to customers.
The launch of Nokia’s online store coincides with the holiday. If certain orders are placed before December 19, the company also provides delivery services before Christmas (that is, December 25).
The company promised not to consider transportation during the holiday season, and to provide everyone with free transportation for two days without charging customers any transportation fees.
It is worth noting that Nokia’s e-commerce store does not sell all smartphone models, and clicking on some models will redirect the user to another store.
Currently, the company is selling Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 225 4G smartphones and Nokia Power EarBuds directly on its website. For all other products, customers will be redirected to Amazon, BestBuy, etc.
What’s interesting is how this is achieved in a market where most users rely on their network operators to buy new smartphones. Although some devices are sold directly to customers, they are from well-known brands.
Nokia is of course a well-known brand, but it has reached a position where customers can buy their smartphones directly in the United States, as we will know soon.
