Honor V40

HONOR TO LAUNCH HONOR V40 ON JANUARY 18.

Today, Honor confirmed via Weibo that it will launch the Honor V40 smartphone in China on January 18. In November, Huawei sold its Honor sub-brand and allowed it to establish an independent company. After separating from the parent brand, the Honor V40 will debut as the company’s first mobile phone.

Starting today, Honor V40 can now be booked through online and offline platforms such as JD.com, Tmall, Suning and the brand new Honor Mall. The Honor V40 poster released by the company shows its front design.

It can be seen that the Honor V40’s screen has curved edges, and there are two front camera cutouts in the upper left corner.

According to recent reports, Honor V40 will be equipped with the same 6.72-inch OLED panel as Huawei Nova 8 Pro.

The Honor V40’s display may support 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen can be equipped with a fingerprint reader.

Honor V40 may come with a 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. The back panel of the phone may have a 64 megapixel + 8 megapixel + 2 megapixel + 2 megapixel quad camera system.

Contradictory reports claim that it may be equipped with a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel camera instead of a 64-megpaixel lens.

It is expected that the Dimensity 1000+ chipset will power the device with 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage. The phone’s 4,000mAh battery may support 66W fast charging.

There are also rumors that the phone will support 45W wireless charging. The device may be pre-installed with Android 10 OS based on Magic UI 4.0. It is speculated that the company may also launch another V40 series mobile phone and Honor V40.
