It has only been a few months since Huawei released the Kirin 9000 processor. There are two models of this chipset-Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E-only available in the Mate 40 series. Now, a leaker has disclosed detailed information about the next-generation flagship Kirin processor, which is reportedly called Kirin 9010.
Information about the new Kirin processor comes from the leaker @RODENT950, and according to a tweet published today, the next-generation Kirin processor should be released together with the Kirin 9010, which will be a 3nm chipset.

Kirin 9000 was launched as the first 5nm processor for Android devices, and after its release, Samsung Exynos 1080 and Qualcomm Snapdragon888 were released.
Although most people hope that Huawei will stick to the 5nm process for at least two years, this leak shows that it is to make its next-generation mobile chipset jump to 3nm.
If all goes well, it should be launched this year and possibly in the fourth quarter. Appeared in the Mate 50 series.
We can assume that if the news about Huawei’s 3nm chipset is true, then other chip manufacturers (such as Qualcomm) will follow suit and switch their next-generation flagship chipsets to 3nm.
This is not wrong. Although the San Diego-based company is expected to release the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset later this year, the chipset should be the same 5nm processor as its siblings, but with a higher clock speed.
On the other hand, it is reported that Samsung is skipping the 4nm process and jumping to 3nm. Apple is also expected to announce a 3nm processor that will be produced by TSMC, but it is not expected to be available until 2022. Therefore, Huawei may become the first manufacturer to announce a 3nm chipset.
Before the release of the 5nm Kirin chipset, there were reports that the Mate 40 may be the last Huawei flagship product powered by Kirin chipset processors, but this is not the case.
It is expected that Huawei P50 phones will be equipped with Kirin 9000 processors. If Huawei can achieve this goal, this year’s Mate series will be equipped with 3-nanometer Kirin 9010.
