Yesterday, a Weibo user shared live photos of the Huawei Nova 8 smartphone that will be released on December 23. A few hours later, another Weibo user posted a real photo of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro to show off its design.
As you saw yesterday, the Huawei Nova 8 has a selfie camera cutout centered on the top. However, the curved screen of the Nova 8 Pro may have curved edges and a pill-shaped camera in the upper left corner.
The camera opening is equipped with two selfie snappers. The rear panel of Huawei Nova 8 Pro has the same oval camera module as the vanilla model. The brand names of Nova and Huawei can be seen at the bottom of the back panel of the phone.
The Huawei Nova 8 Pro has a microphone on the top edge, a SIM card slot at the bottom, another microphone, a USB-C port and external speakers. A volume button and a power button can be found on the right edge of the phone.
The edge of Huawei Nova 8 Pro supports 80Hz curved 120Hz OLED panel. It is equipped with a 16-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. The back shell of the phone has a 64-megapixel + 8 megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2 megapixel (macro) + 2 megapixel (depth) quad camera system.
The smartphone supports simultaneous recording of dual scenes through the front and rear cameras. Nova 8 Pro will be equipped with 66W fast battery.
However, the battery size is not yet known. The phone is expected to provide 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage versions. Estimated starting price is 4,000 yuan (~$612).
