INDIA OFFERS PRODUCTION INCENTIVE TO TESLA.

India is obviously prepared to provide Tesla with various incentives to bring Tesla’s products into India. One of the benefits is that if the company promises to produce electric cars in China, its production costs will be cheaper than in China.

According to Reuters, India’s Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari revealed sales information to the popular electric car manufacturer earlier this week. In addition, the government’s move came a few weeks after Tesla registered a company in India.

This indicates that the automaker may enter the market as early as mid-2021. According to sources close to the matter, the brand’s goal is to start with the import and sale of its Model 3 electric sedans in Southeast Asian countries.

Gadgary said: “The government will ensure that when Tesla starts producing cars in India, its production costs will be the lowest compared to the world or even China.

We will guarantee this.” At present, the local government is willing to provide such incentives. Measures to strengthen its local production of electric vehicles, batteries and other components to reduce import costs and even help curb pollution in big cities.

It is worth noting that due to the sudden growth and demand of various vehicles, Tesla’s entry into the Indian market has also moved forward with the production of electric vehicles, which can help reduce overall carbon emissions. Currently, India has not obtained local production from the company, and the company has not yet commented on its plans to enter the Indian market.
