A South Korean publication recently reported that LG may launch mobile phones with rollable displays in the first half of 2021. The report even revealed that the device may make its debut on the market in the form of LG Rollable. Leakster Tron shared the main specifications and prices of LG Rollable.
South Korean publications claim that LG Rollable has a 6.8-inch scrollable screen that can be expanded to 7.4 inches. The new leak matches the display size information revealed by the publication. It seems that the company has certain screen sizes in different modes.
In mobile phones, LG Rollable can provide a resolution of 1080 x 2428 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. In video mode, it can provide a resolution of 1366 x 2428 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. In production mode, it will provide a resolution of 1600 x 2428 and an aspect ratio of 3:2.
The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform will appear under the hood of LG Rollable. The device may be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and may draw energy from a 4,200mAh battery.
The leak further mentioned that LG Rollable plans to go public in March. It warned that the release date may be postponed to June. In terms of price, LG Rollable’s price is as high as $2,359.
In related news, LG is reported to be using two other mobile phones. It is said that the first is the flagship phone equipped with Snapdragon 888 technology, code-named LG Rainbow.
It is expected to provide stylus support and designs such as LG Velvet. It may debut in March 2021. The LGQ83 mid-range phone may be launched in the first half of 2021, with a unique rear camera design and 5G support.
