Motorola’s upcoming flagship has made it into the news quite a bit in the past few days. Firstly, the CEO of Lenovo China earlier this week released a teaser that suggests the brand is about to release a Snapdragon 8xx-enabled phone. Lenovo GM broke up without revealing the model name. However, Weibo indicated that the post was posted from a Motorola Edge S.
Well, the Chinese tech giant has now released another trailer about the device. This time, the trailer shared on Motorola’s official Weibo page confirmed that the device will be called Motorola EdgeS. The device will be the successor to the Motorola Edge launched last year.
The post did not reveal any details about the device, but the well-known Chinese tech expert digital chat station had earlier suggested that the phone will be powered by the unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series SoC instead of Snapdragon 888 or 865.

Motorola Edge S may be a remodeled version of the upcoming Moto G device using Snapdragon 800 series SoC, Motorola Nio (XT2125) has already become news.
If this is the case, the device will feature an FHD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) display, with dual punch hole cutouts and an unusual 105Hz refresh rate.
According to Geekbench’s list, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset with 8GB RAM.
This indicates that the unannounced Snapdragon 800 series chips may be based on last year’s flagship SoC. In addition, since there is already an overclocked version in the form of Snapdragon 865+, the new chipset may be a low-frequency version.
Other leaked details about Motorola Nio include: The device will use a triple rear camera package, including a 64MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra wide-angle shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there will be a dual camera setup including a 16MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
The phone is also equipped with 8GB/12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage space, and can run Android 11 directly.
