Chinese smartphone brand OPPO announced today that the company has signed a contract with Zhou Dongyu as a brand ambassador.
Although the company has not confirmed this, but given the timing of the announcement, she seems to be the brand spokesperson for the upcoming OPPO Reno5 series of smartphones.
Dongyu Zhou is a Chinese actress who has won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress and the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Actress. Earlier this year, “Forbes” listed her as the third place on the “Top 100 Chinese Celebrities” list.
As for her alliance with OPPO, it seems that the cooperation may be related to the beautification features of the upcoming device.
It is speculated that the company may introduce a new technology for cameras and beautification features on the upcoming OPPO Reno5 series devices.
According to the current leaks, Reno5 seems to be equipped with a 32-megapixel frontal snapper that can meet the needs of selfies. On the back, the device is expected to use a four-camera setup including a 50-megapixel sensor.
The device is expected to have ultra-fast 65W Super Flash charging technology. It is said that this series of mobile phones have AMOLED displays and support a 90Hz refresh rate.
They will use the company’s own ColorOS 11 custom user interface to run the Android 11 operating system out of the box.
According to the report, Reno5 will be powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset, while Reno5 Pro will include MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Finally, it is said that Reno5 Pro+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.
Although the company has not revealed the release date of the Reno5 series, the leak of major specifications, the certification of the device in China and the release of the brand ambassador all indicate that the release is only a few days away.
