Qualcomm

American technology giant and leading chip manufacturer Qualcomm has released more detailed information about its latest chipset, Snapdragon 888, which was released on December 1st and provided detailed specifications on December 2. Today, the American chipmaker outlined the official benchmark results of its high-performance chipset.

Preliminary review shows that Qualcomm recommends this latest product to achieve high performance.

The test was conducted on a reference device powered by Snapdragon 888, and the test was conducted up to 3 times, and average scores were calculated for various performance indicators.

The benchmarks tested by the chip manufacturer include AnTuTu, GeekBench, GFXBench Aztec Normal and Manhattan 3.0, Ludashi AiMark, AITuTu, MLPerf and UL Procyon.

Starting from AnTuTu (version 8.3.4), the average score of Snapdragon 888 is 735,439 points, which is a landmark score on the platform.

The reference device Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro+ scored 698654 points, while the most powerful Snapdragon 865 phone was Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Ultra, which scored 671045 points.

The Geekbench (version 5.0.2) test showed 1,135 points in the single-core test, 3,794 points in the Snapdragon flagship product, slightly higher than the SD 865, 900 points in the single-core test, and 3,400 points in the multi-core test.

This result puts SD 888’s single-core and multi-core performance ahead of its predecessor SD 865 by approximately 20% and 10%, respectively.

Further details show that SD 888’s Adreno 660 GPU averaged 86 frames per second in the Aztec Ruins Vulcan test and 169 fps in the Manhattan 3.0 test, both of which were completed with 1080p off-screen resolution. This result exceeds the performance of the Snapdragon 865+ with the highest score of 133fps on Manhattan 3.0.
