Redmi 7

Redmi 7 was one of the best-selling smartphones at the time. The phone debuted on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie in early 2019. It was later updated to MIUI 11 globally. Last week, the global version of the device began to receive the long-awaited Android 10 update. Now, this update has also been released in India.

The Android 10 update of Redmi 7 in India comes with the internal version number V11.0.3.0.QFLINXM. In addition to bringing last year’s Android, the new software version will also raise the security patch level to December 2020.

Currently, this update is in the “stable Beta” stage. Therefore, it only applies to select users. If there are no major issues with this version, we hope that the company will extend the availability of the update to more users.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi has not yet started this update for other variants outside of India, Global and China. We believe that the company will provide seeds for the construction of these variants in the next few days.

Having said that, Android 10 is the last major update of Redmi 7. Because the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer recently cancelled the MIUI 12 update of the phone, as well as Redmi Y3, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A.
