It was officially confirmed yesterday that Redmi 9 Power will be released on December 17. Soon after confirmation, there was a leak, revealing the configuration of the smartphone’s rear camera. The Redmi 9 Power microsite is now active on Amazon India. This means that the phone will be available for purchase through retailer websites after it is released.
Redmi 9 Power will make its debut on December 17th at 12 pm IST. There is a “Notify Me” button on the microsite which users can click to update when they arrive.
It is speculated that Redmi 9 Power will be a slightly modified version of Redmi Note 9 4G, which was officially launched in China last month.
It may arrive in India at a starting price of 10,999 rupees (~$149) or 11,999 rupees (~$163). It is expected that it will come in the form of 4 GB RAM + 64 GB and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and may be available in blue, black and green colors.
Redmi 9 Power comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with water droplets. The phone supports 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The Snapdragon 662 mobile platform is located under the chassis of the device. It may be equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. In order to capture selfies, it may have an 8-megapixel front camera.
The phone’s rear camera setup may include a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-pixel depth sensor, and a 2-pixel macro lens. It may come with MIUI-based Android 10 operating system and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
