Xiaomi India has opened a microsite for the upcoming Redmi phone. The list only shows that the phone will be equipped with a huge battery and have a four-camera setup. According to recent reports, the company may mock the release of Redmi 9 Power.
Redmi 9 Power is expected to debut on December 15 as a modified version of Redmi Note 9 4G, which was launched in China last month. In addition to including an additional camera, Redmi 9 Power is expected to have the same specifications as Redmi Note 9 4G.
The Redmi 9 Power may have a 6.53-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch. The Snapdragon 662 SoC can use a 6,000mAh battery to power the device, which will support 18W fast charging and reverse charging.
In order to take selfies, it may have an 8-megapixel snapper. The phone’s rear four-lens system may include a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-pixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-pixel depth-assisted lens, and a 2-pixel macro camera as an additional camera.
Redmi 9 Power is expected to land in India with options such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It will provide three colors of black, blue and green.
Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the release date of Redmi 9 Power. No news about its price. Redmi 9 Prime is the most powerful Redmi 9 series smartphone in India.
Since phones using Helio G80 start at 9,999 rupees (approximately US$135), the launch price of Redmi 9 Power may be 10,999 rupees (approximately US$149).
