At the end of last month, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 series in China. The series consists of three smartphones, which have been on sale for the past 13 days. During this period, the company successfully sold 1 million units.
Xiaomi initially launched the Redmi Note 9 series in India earlier this year. But the Redmi Note 9 model launched in China is a completely different device. The series includes two 5G mobile phones (Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G) and one 4G mobile phone (Redmi Note 9 4G).
Now, less than two weeks (13 days to be precise) after the launch, Redmi has successfully sold more than 1 million of these smartphones.
The brand showed off its new achievements on Weibo. If you don’t know, Xiaomi’s Redmi number, Redmi A and Redmi Note series phones have always been global bestsellers.
For example, as of November, the company has sold more than 140 million Redmi Notes worldwide. These phones are popular because they are value for money.
In other words, although the new Redmi Note 9 series is unique to China, the same mobile phone is expected to be released under different brands in the global market.
The Pro model has been launched in Europe as the Mi 10T Lite with a 64MP main camera. This phone will also be launched in India in the form of Mi 10i.
Similarly, 4G models with additional cameras will soon be officially released as Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9T.
