SAMSUNG LAUNCHES NEW SMART MONITORS POWERED BY TIZEN OS.

Earlier this week, Samsung Electronics announced plans to start selling its latest smart display product line in South Korea. This includes two new models, both running Tizen OS.

The newly launched products include 32-inch UHD M7 smart display and FHD M5 smart display, available in 27-inch or 32-inch models.

These monitors run Tizen OS, can act as smart hubs, and can even provide content without connecting to a computer.

In addition, according to TheElec report, these smart monitors can also be connected directly to the Internet via Wi-Fi and provide popular streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube and Wave.

Other features include support and remote access to Microsoft Office 365 cloud services, and a remote control that supports Bixby voice recognition.

The new smart display comes with support for Samsung DeX, which allows the smartphone to be mirrored to the display, and has a click view that can load the smartphone screen onto the display. Apple AirPlay 2 is also supported.

A 65W charger connected via a USB Type-C port powers the M7 model and even provides a data transfer speed of 10Gbps. Other connection options include USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2.

A notable feature of the new displays is that they are equipped with adaptive pictures and eye protectors to protect the user’s sight. For audio, both models have a 2-channel 5W speaker built into the display.
