The new Exynos 2100 has undergone some major upgrades, including better GPU performance than its predecessor, but its Arm Mali-G78 GPU may disappoint some people. For such people, the next-generation Exynos flagship chipset may be worth looking forward to, because it will have the long-awaited AMD GPU.
At the Exynos 2100 event, Dr. Inyup Kang, President and General Manager of Samsung’s System LSI Business, revealed that their next flagship Exynos processor will jointly develop GPUs with AMD.
It has been a long time since the partnership was first announced in June 2019, and the news has excited fans.
Samsung has been catching up with Qualcomm, whose processors have always had better overall performance. Therefore, this next-generation chipset with a GPU developed by AMD may reverse the situation and cause Qualcomm to become a chipset with lower processor capabilities.
The famous Samsung leaker Ice Universe believes that this new processor will be released this year and may appear in the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
We expect that the chipset will not be launched until next year, and it should make its debut in the Galaxy S22 series. We believe that, like previous products, this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 is likely to be equipped with Snapdragon processors in all regions.
As I said, Exynos2100 is just the beginning. It is almost certain that Samsung will release a new processor with AMD GPU this year and may use it for the Galaxy Z Fold3. pic.twitter.com/J3GIRoBSBA

Therefore, if you don’t mind waiting too long, you might as well skip this year’s Galaxy S21 series. Nonetheless, Exynos 2100 should be able to handle any mobile game you throw at it, despite not its competitors Kirin 9000 and Snapdragon 888.
