SNAPCHAT TO NOW LET PUBLIC ACCOUNTS USERS SHOW THEIR FOLLOWERS.

For the first time, Snapchat allowed its users to show off its subscriber numbers. The company stated that they have decided to let public figures publicly promote its subscribers according to its request.

We’ve listened to feedback from our creator community, and many of them expressed interest in having the option to show that their community on Snapchat is growing,” the company said.

The ability to display the number of subscribers will be available to all creators with public profiles, but it will be disabled by default.

We understand that not every creator wants to have public metrics visible to their fans. Therefore, creators can choose to toggle this metric on and off as needed in their settings, a company spokesperson said.

The latest feature is in addition to the permanent public information introduced on the platform in September.

A public profile allows every creator (even creators without a check mark) to access Snap’s advanced analysis tools and create a complete resume with URL, location, and email contacts.

Snapchat creators with public profiles can also show their favorite moments through highlights, created shots, etc.

As long as you have installed the latest version of Snapchat with the creator or company profile, you can enable this feature under “Settings.”
