Popular instant messaging app Telegram has released updates across mobile (Android, and iOS), and PC with a slew of additional features.
Here are some of the new features that accompanies this new updates.
2GB FILE SHARING.
Since 2014, Telegram has permitted its users to share files of up to 1.5GB each. But with the new update Telegram has increased the limit from 1.5GB to 2GB meaning that from now on users can share files for up to 2GB each.
This new feature will now allow users to select videos as their profile pictures. Additionally, you can also edit the video using Telegram’s media editor to enhance quality, and add animated stickers on top.
Telegram has now included a soften skin option for photos or videos taken using the front-facing camera. Note that the media editor was updated in the previous update.
Telegram has included mini thumbnails in this new update. The feature provides you with a small preview of any shared media in chat threads. Previously, Telegram only showed you that a person has shared a photo or video, but you wouldn’t tell if it’s a selfie, a meme, or anything else.
IMPROVED PEOPLE NEARBY.
There is also a small change to the nearby feature. The new update now tells you how far another Telegram user is when they contact you through the people nearby feature.
Group creators can now for the first time see how their group performance. As long as your group has a minimum of 500 members(will require a minimum of 100 in the future) you can view detailed graphs on activity and growth, and also a list of top members by the number of messages and average message length.
Those who use Telegram via desktop can now also be able to login into three accounts simultaneously, this feature has been available on mobile since 2017.
Other features include; Android Specific extras, filters new chat from non contacts.
