US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ORDERS RISK ASSESSMENT OF CHINESE MADE DRONES.

In his last few hours as President of the United States, Donald Trump is doing everything he can to harm Chinese companies. In the latest move in the US-China trade war, Donald Trump signed an executive order.

According to Reuters, the new executive order signed by the US President requires agencies to assess the safety risks of Chinese-made drones in the US government fleet and prioritize their removal.

Donald Trump instructed all U.S. agencies to outline the security risks to existing government drone fleets caused by drones manufactured by Chinese companies or other countries that are considered foreign adversaries.

A few weeks ago, the US Department of Commerce blacklisted DJI Technologies, the world’s leading drone production company. Last year, the Ministry of the Interior has grounded more than 800 Chinese-made drones.

Prior to this, in May 2019, the Department of Homeland Security warned the U.S. company China-made drones of the risks to company data. The US Department of Homeland Security said in the notice that US officials have expressed strong concerns about the fall of US data into authoritarian countries.
