As we all know, Chinese smartphone brands choose celebrities in the entertainment or sports industry as their brand ambassadors. Xiaomi is one of such brands, but it has decided to look inward for its newest ambassador.
A new picture posted on Weibo shows that Xiaomi has decided to choose its CEO Lei Jun as the new brand ambassador for the new mobile phone Mi 11. The CEO himself posted a photo on Weibo showing him taking a photo with his flagship phone. .
The image caption stated that the marketing department decided to use him as the new brand ambassador, which was the result of fans’ requests. He added that billboards with the new promotional image will be posted at the T3 terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport.
Lei Jun is one of the most popular CEOs in China’s technology industry and is loved by fans of the brand. Therefore, Xiaomi did not use him to sell new phones to make the wrong decision.
Mi 11 even has a special version with a unique surface effect and engraved with the CEO’s signature, but surprisingly, Lei Jun does not have this version in the promotional pictures.
In other news, Xiaomi announced that the next sale date of Mi 11 is at 10 am on January 5. The phone will be available in two retail versions-“Eco / Green Edition” (without charger and data cable and a set). Includes 55W Gan charger and cable version.
