Xiaomi completed the packaging of the Mi 11 flagship smartphone in December, but the device went on sale for the first time on January 1. Although the company revealed that the first sale generated more than 1.5 billion yuan in revenue in just 5 minutes, the company still has an elusive number of units sold. Well, until now.
It is speculated that Xiaomi has sold more than 350,000 units of this device. However, this unofficial figure was derived using an average price of 4,300 yuan. Well, the Chinese technology giant has now officially announced that it has sold more than 500,000 flagship products.
Therefore, Xiaomi held a celebration party, Lei Jun, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing and Xiaomi Group’s mobile phone department president Zeng Xuezhong and other executives all participated in the celebration.
This large transaction confirms the brand’s popularity and the praise that Mi 11 has received. Although the charger is removed, there are still many fans who want to buy the device, but most orders are for the non-green version, which has an adapter in the box.
Only 20,000 Mi 11 Green Edition units were sold in the first sale. Mi 11 has made many improvements to Mi 10, including screen, performance, fast charging technology and several other aspects.
As a reminder, Mi 11 is equipped with a 6.81-inch curved display, a hole in the upper left corner of the screen, and a Corning Gorilla Victus protective film.
The screen is not only larger than Mi 10 5G, but also clearer due to its 2K (3200 x 1440) resolution. It also has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.
This phone is packed with a 4600mAh battery under the hood and supports 55W fast wired charging, while Mi 10 supports 30W. It is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 high pairing power, fast storage.
There is also a built-in fingerprint scanner, which Xiaomi said it can measure your heart rate in addition to unlocking the phone and authorizing payments.
Other features include stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, dual nano-SIM support, NFC, IR blaster, enhanced WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 with Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus. It runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
